DELIVERABLE 6.6 “2nd Reporting Period Update of the Data Management Plan”

This document presents Deliverable D6.6 – “2nd Reporting Period Update of the Data Management Plan (DMP)”, prepared within the framework of the Horizon Europe EIC Pathfinder project SafeWax (Grant Agreement No. 101099462), coordinated by the Technion – Israel Institute of Technology.

This deliverable provides the updated version of the SafeWax DMP, originally submitted as Deliverable D6.2 at Month 6 of the project. It reflects progress achieved during the second reporting period and integrates improvements based on project developments and feedback from the European Commission. The document outlines how data generated, collected, and processed within the project are managed in accordance with the FAIR principles (Findable, Accessible, Interoperable, and Reusable), as required by the Horizon Europe framework.

Key updates include refined procedures for FAIR data handling, an expanded data inventory describing dataset types, access levels, and responsible partners, and enhanced information on data security, ethical compliance, and resource allocation. The DMP also details mechanisms for dataset classification (open, embargoed, or restricted), storage via institutional repositories and the project’s Zenodo community, and use of Creative Commons licensing where appropriate.

The SafeWax consortium applies a living document approach, ensuring that the DMP evolves with ongoing research, regulatory developments, and data management best practices. The final version of the DMP will be submitted at M48, providing a comprehensive overview of all datasets and their access conditions.
