DELIVERABLE 1.2 “Coating Re-formulation”

This document presents Deliverable D1.2 – “Coating Reformulation”, prepared within the framework of the Horizon Europe EIC Pathfinder project SafeWax (Grant Agreement No. 101099462), coordinated by the Technion – Israel Institute of Technology, with contributions from BASF (Germany) and EAR (France).

The deliverable describes the reformulation and optimization of SafeWax, a bioinspired fatty acid-based coating developed as a sustainable alternative to conventional pesticides. The work focused on improving the coating’s environmental profile, superhydrophobicity, and scalability by exploring solvent selection, fatty acid composition, and application methods.

Access to this deliverable is restricted due to the confidential and proprietary nature of the information it contains. The document includes sensitive technical data and formulation details that are subject to intellectual property protection and ongoing patent procedures.
