EU Science & Technology Delegation Visit at the Technion
A forum of approximately 15 science and technology attachés and counsellors from various EU embassies in Israel visited the Technion – Israel Institute of Technology to observe firsthand the impact of EU research funding on Israeli innovation. The event, aimed to showcase success stories within the EU’s Horizon Europe and Horizon 2020 programs, included a presentation of the SafeWax project by its coordinator, Prof. Boaz Pokroy.
Prof. Pokroy detailed the project’s concept, progress and innovations, raising significant interest among the European delegation. The visit emphasized the crucial role of EU funding in fostering international academic cooperation and accelerating scientific breakthroughs at the Technion, a key member of the EuroTech Universities Alliance (https://www.linkedin.com/ company/eurotech-universities- alliance/).
