SafeWax at the Annual Conference of the Israel Society for Microbiology

Today at the Annual Conference of the Israel Society for Microbiology , SafeWax researcher Hanan Abu Hamad from the Faculty of Biotechnology and Food Engineering, Technion at the Technion – Israel Institute of Technology, presented the project’s latest results on:

“Antifungal Properties of Fatty-Acid-Based Superhydrophobic Coatings: From Surface Protection to Sustainable Agriculture”.

Her talk highlighted impressive results showing the ability of SafeWax coatings to significantly reduce fungal growth on treated surfaces. These bioinspired, biodegradable coatings represent a promising step toward more sustainable crop protection.
