SafeWax at the BIOMIN XVIII International Symposium
Niv Ben-Arie, a PhD student, recently participated in the 18th International Symposium on Biomineralization (BIOMIN XVIII), held in Dresden, Germany. During the symposium, Niv delivered an oral presentation titled “Bio-inspired Superhydrophobic Coatings,” highlighting significant advances within the SafeWax project, including collaborative results with Alma Mater Studiorum, Università di Bologna and BASF.
His presentation was met with highly positive feedback from leading international researchers, showcasing the excellence of his work. Adding to the project’s prominence, the conference was co-organized by SafeWax coordinator Prof. Boaz Pokroy, further reflecting the project’s central role in the global biomineralization and bio-inspired materials community.
This achievement underscores the commitment of the SafeWax project to fostering early-career researchers and their active engagement with the international scientific arena.
